Description
The AEMT Training Program follows the guidelines set forth by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (www.caahep.org) upon the recommendation of the Committee on Accreditation of Educational Programs for the Emergency Medical Services Professions (CoAEMSP). Continuous enrollment in EMT 201 and 202 is required. The program focuses on the study of emergency medical care and evaluation and treatment of injuries in both technical and practical knowledge while providing in depth skills training to evaluate and treat a wide variety of both medical and trauma emergencies at the Advanced EMT level in the prehospital setting. Progression of learning includes didactic/laboratory integrated with or followed by additional clinical/field experience. Student will be responsible for purchasing Fisdap and My Clinical Exchange subscriptions as part of the course fees.
