History, Associate of Arts

This degree prepares students to transfer to a four-year college or university and pursue a bachelor’s degree in history. In addition to teaching, history provides excellent background for entering law school or for pursuing any type of social or government work. Also, some recent trends suggest history majors are being hired for business because of the need for people who are trained in reading primary source material, synthesizing what they read, and applying it in problem-solving situations.
