The Cosmetology program provides students an opportunity to apply Cosmetology practices and principles in a simulated salon environment. Upon successful completion of the program, a minimum of three (3) semesters to obtain the 1500 hours of training necessary, students will be eligible to take the Arizona Barbering and Cosmetology Board Examination. The Cosmetology Program meets Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM with required Saturdays, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM.

In addition to general tuition, a required course fee of $180 per credit will be applied to all Cosmetology courses enrolled, and a one-time kit fee for new students.

Entry into the Cosmetology program requires prior admission to Eastern Arizona College and a completed Cosmetology Enrollment Packet. Contact the Cosmetology Program for more information, at (928) 428-8509.

Special Note: A high school program is also offered to qualified students through a career and technical education school district (CTED). The high school program meets four hours (4) a day, five (5) days a week, and eight (8) hours on each of the two required Saturdays a month during the regular school year. The high school program will take four (4) semesters to complete and is a Fall start only beginning their junior or senior year.
